Day 1
Day 1
Arrive & Hike to the Campsite
We’ll meet early in the morning at the trailhead, and if you need a ride from Whitehorse, we’ll be happy to provide that. After introductions and a quick briefing, we’ll distribute the group gear into your backpacks and hand out the food for the trip. Once we’re all packed and ready, we’ll start our hike towards the campsite.
The hike will take us through stunning wilderness, gradually gaining elevation as we approach our camp. After setting up our tents and settling in, we’ll have time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscape. We'll prepare a delicious dinner, share stories around the campfire, and spend our first night immersed in the Yukon wilderness.
Day 2
Day 2
Ascent of Observation Mountain & Return to Camp
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll begin our ascent of Observation Mountain. The hike will take us through beautiful terrain, with opportunities to spot mountain goats and take in incredible views as we approach the ridge. Once we reach the top, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the Kaskawulsh Glacier, the Ä’äy Chù River, and the surrounding valleys.
You don’t need to reach the summit for a spectacular view—the plateau offers an amazing vantage point of the glacier and the valleys below. After enjoying the scenery and taking photos, we’ll descend back to the campsite, where you’ll have the rest of the evening to relax. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner, watch the sunset, and reflect on the day’s adventure under the stars.
Day 3
Day 3
Hike Back to the Trailhead
On our final day, we’ll pack up camp and begin our return hike back to the trailhead. As we make our way back, you’ll have time to reflect on the beauty of the trip and the skills you’ve learned along the way. Once we reach the trailhead in the afternoon, we’ll say our goodbyes, and if you need a ride back to Whitehorse, we’ll take care of that for you.
By the end of the trip, you’ll have unforgettable memories and a deep connection to the wild beauty of Kluane National Park.
